RENTALS – REPAIRS – RETAIL – LESSONS – and fun!

Prestige Woodwind & Brass has been in business for over 30 years in the Eastern Suburbs-

A full service music shop in the East – we cater to the locals, schools, and beginner learners both children and adult and professional musicians alike.

We offer repair services on all instruments, music lessons, and instrument rental as well as being able to help you find the right piece of music that you need for school, an exam or just for fun!

Staff

Lucy – holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Teaching, has come to us from several years in the Print Music and licensing side of the Music Business and from teaching both primary and high school for the past several years

As well as being a former member of the Sydney Wind Orchestra, City of Sydney Wind Band, and Australian Youth Wind Orchestra - she has attained certificates in Dalcroze, Orff and Kindermusik – teaching early childhood music and movement to children ages 6 months – 5 years.

She has participated as a private tutor for several schools, band workshops and band camps - has conducted school bands, choir and loves to cook up a storm in her own time.

Lucy plays Bassoon, Clarinet, some Sax, Ukulele and Piano (her trumpet playing needs a little more practice though!)

Noel the original AC/DC drummer and having played in the Sydney scene for well over 30 years, a founding member of the REAL GONE CATS a 50’s Rock n Roll Show band. He still plays around the traps mostly in the retro 50’s rock n roll scene.

Noel is our resident go-to guy for all of our guitar repairs, set-ups, drum repairs and on-the-spot fixes, he is  a fountain of Australian Rock History and knowledge. He owned and ran the popular ‘Rock N Jazz Music Centre’ at Kensington from 1982-2002.

Simon – holds a B.Music (Hon.) in Tenor Saxophone, can play Clarinet, Flute, Drums, Guitar and Piano – has an occasional in-store sing-a-long. He has  a great knowledge of Jazz, the jazz scene and is fully versed in the world of woodwind instruments. He is the man to go to if you can’t get your reed to play, with a bag of tricks up his sleeve for any occasion.

Tarrah - Tarrah is one of our brass tutors, currently studying a Bachelor of Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She has completed her 8th Grade AMEB on Trumpet and is the Principal Trumpet player of the Sutherland Shire Brass Band. In her spare time she loves cooking up a storm and going to dress-up parties!
